Executive Board

In accordance with IGUÁ‘s Bylaws, it is the responsibility of the Executive Board, in addition to its other duties established by law: (i) to ensure compliance with the law, with these Bylaws, with any shareholder agreement and compliance with the resolutions made at Shareholders‘ Meetings, the meetings of the Board of Directors and at its own meetings; (ii) to administer, manage and supervise the corporate business, formulating and proposing the strategic planning and operating plans to the Board of Directors, including the human resources, financial and equipment needs, with the ability to purchase, sell, exchange, encumber or in any other manner purchase or sell goods and property for or of the Company, determining the respective prices, terms and conditions, respecting the respective attributions of the Board of Directors and the Shareholders‘ Meeting; (iii) issue internal rules, regulations and other rules of the same nature with regard to the Company; and (iv) grant mandates on behalf of the Company.

Gustavo Guimarães has 20 years of experience in agribusiness, public water services and mining companies. He was responsible for the main areas of the back middle-office. He also worked at Big Four companies leading auditing processes and corporate consulting at national and international companies. He was CFO of Paraná State Water Company (SANEPAR) from 2015 to 2017.

Jean Paul Veiga da Rocha worked as a Legal Director in Regulatory and Competition Area at Brasil Telecom during the restructuring until the company’s sale to the Telemar/Oi Group. He is experienced in legal consulting in public services. He is Professor at Law University of São Paulo. He holds a J.D. in Law from University of São Paulo (USP). He was a visiting scholar at Yale Law School and visiting fellow at London School of Economics and Political Science.

Péricles Socrates Weber has over 30 years of experience in the sanitation sector. He was the Director of Environment and Social Action at the Paraná Sanitation Company - Sanepar, also for Sanepar, worked as a Research Engineer in bioenergy; Operations Manager for water and sewage systems; - Environment manager; - Coordinator of water resources project in Paraná in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency - JICA; - Supervisor of the laboratory of water and sewage; Quality Development engineer; 1998 - Coordinated the Sanepar Environmental Education Program winner of the Expression of Ecology Prize and Top Ecology Prize awarded by Expressão Magazine; - 1999 to 2000 - Chairman of the Board of the Sanepar Foundation for Social Assistance; - 2008 - Coordinated the bioenergy project of the Ouro Verde sewage treatment plant in Foz do Iguaçu, winner of the Von Marthius Environment Award granted by the Brazil - Germany Chamber of Commerce; - Coordinated the implementation and certification of the first ISO 14001 environmental management system of basic sanitation in the City of Foz do Iguaçu. He also worked on the bioenergy project for developing countries, Guatemala and Haiti in partnership with the Energy Efficiency Center of the University of California, Davis and with the international organization The Appropriate Infrastructure Development Group - AIDG; - Scholarship of the British Council - United Kingdom, NUFFIC - Netherlands and Fulbright Commission - United States; - Postgraduate Professor of FAE Business School in the disciplines of ISO 14001 and environmental auditing.

Felipe Rath Fingerl Investor Relations Officer 06/06/2018 08/11/2019

Felipe Rath Fingerl has worked for more than 10 years in different segments of the financial and capital markets. Founding partner of IG4 Capital, he worked as investments director in Private Equity for the last two years, responsible for transactions involving turnaround and special opportunities in several segments of the Brazilian economy, including the corporate and financial restructuring operation that gave rise to Iguá Saneamento. Between 2012 and 2016, in the infrastructure area of GP Investimentos, he led projects and analysis of investments in the sanitation, airports, urban mobility, energy and telecom segments. He was also part of the Investment Banking teams of J.P. Morgan and Modal banks between 2009 and 2012, working in the areas of mergers & acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets for the entire Latin America, based in São Paulo and New York. He has a degree in economics from PUC-Rio.

Paulo Mattos was a Managing Director at RK Partners (2016-2017) and was a Managing Director at GP Investments (2012-2016), prior to creating RKP Investimentos in 2016, which was renamed in 2017 to IG4 Capital. While at GP Investments, Paulo served on the Infrastructure and Telecom Investment Committee and was the founder of BR Towers, where he served as Chairman (2012 to 2014).
Before joining GP Investments, Paulo was an Executive Vice President of Business Strategy, Wholesale and Regulatory Affairs at Oi S.A (2009-2012). While at Oi he served on the Executive Committee, Financial Risk Committee and Operations Committee. Paulo also worked at the Brazilian Development Bank, BNDES, as a Director, in addition to being a member of the Credit & Investment Committee and Head of the Managerial Committee (2007-2009).
Mr. Mattos holds a J.D. and a Ph.D. in Law from University of São Paulo (USP), was Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Yale University, and is a permanent member of the Board of Directors of the Brazilian Center for Analysis and Planning - CEBRAP and member of Getulio Vargas Foundation - FGV, leading think tanks specialized in public policy and business administration.

Helcio Tokeshi Vice Chairman 05/30/2019 05/30/2021

Helcio Tokeshi is an economist and executive with experience in the private, public and social sectors. In the public sector, he served as Secretary of Finance of the State of São Paulo. Mr. Helcio Tokeshi previously served twice at the Ministry of Finance both as Macroeconomic Policy Advisor of the Economic Policy Secretary and as Economic Monitoring Secretary. In the private sector, he served as Managing Director for GP Investimentos’ infrastructure department; CEO at EBP; and Associate Partner at McKinsey & Co. Mr. Helcio Tokeshi also served as an economist at World Bank in Washington, D.C. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo, a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Campinas and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Vital Meira de Menezes Júnior Member 05/30/2019 05/30/2021

Vital Menezes earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Faculdade Armando Álvares Penteado (FAAP) in 1991 and a specialization degree in Investment Banking from the New York University (NYU) in 2001. Mr. Menezes also participated in the Executive Program of Corporate Governance at Kellog School of Management - Northwestern University, in Chicago. For the past 30 years Mr. Menezes has been working in the banking business at several institutions in Brazil, the United States and Europe, the last position being at J.P. Morgan Asset Management in São Paulo, as the CEO for Latin America from 2013 to 2018. Prior to that, he was a partner at Gávea Investimentos, in the credit initiative, from 2011 to 2013, and Global Head of Financial Institutions in Santander, in Madrid, with operations in nine countries in Europe, Latin America and the United States, from 2005 to 2011, where he was also a member of the bank’s executive committee in Europe. Vital Menezes served as Executive Officer at ANBIMA from 2014 to 2018.

Gustavo Buffara is Managing Director and CFO at IG4 Capital and one of the founders of the managing company. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of IGUÁ Saneamento S.A. and has been a member of the Company‘s Sustainability Committee and Audit Committee since 2017. Before IG4, Gustavo was Senior Director and Managing Director at RK Partners, an advisory firm specializing in debt restructuring and operational turnaround, between 2016-2017. From 2012 to 2016, Gustavo was Deputy Director at GP Investimentos, responsible for investments in the infrastructure and telecommunications sector in Brazil. During this time, he was also part of the initial team of GP Investimentos at BR Towers, responsible for structuring the company and for the 100-day plan with the company’s C-Level executives. Previously, Gustavo served as Senior Consultant at Bain & Co. of 2010-2012, leading strategic projects in different industries and sectors, such as financial services, credit and debit cards, insurance, airlines and oil & gas. In this position, he has worked in projects in Brazil, Chile and Africa. Gustavo began his career at Telefônica group, where he worked from 2004 to 2010, and was an executive in the areas of Planning, M&A and Regulatory Strategy. He also worked temporarily as a Market Strategist during 2008-2009, allocated directly in the Group‘s Global COO staff in Madrid, Spain. He has a degree in Public Administration from EAESP-FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas) and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from IMD in Switzerland.

Prior to that, he was a researcher at Centro de Pesquisas de Energia Elétrica (CEPEL - Electrical Energy Research Center), Technical Director of Fundação Superintendência Estadual de Rios e Lagoas (SERLA-RJ - State Superintendence of Rivers and Ponds Foundation of Rio de Janeiro), advisor of the World Bank and partner at BR-Investimentos. He is a Full Professor of the Hydraulics and Sanitation Department of UFRJ (1985). He is a commander of the Order of Rio Branco and the Order of Scientific Merit. He received medals of legislative merit from the House of Representatives and Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais, the Bernardo Mascarenhas medal (ABCE 2006). He was granted the following awards: Flávio Terra Barth (2015, ABRH), Distinguished Alumni Award (2012, Colorado State University), Eminent Engineer (2010, Association of Former Students of the Polytechnical School) and King Hassan II World Water Prize (2003, World Water Council). He has been a professor of Water Resources of COPPE-UFRJ since 1974. He presided over (as advisor) and participated in dozens of master’s and doctoral committees. He is the author of the books "Cheias e Aproveitamentos Hidroelétricos" (Floods and Hydroelectric Power Plants) (1983) and "Desafios do Regulador" (Challenges of the Regulator) (2009), and over one hundred technical articles and chapters in specialized books, as well as dozens of articles published in major newspapers. He was the founder, director and president of the Brazilian Association of Water Resources (ABRH).

David Perl has more than 15 years of experience in investment banking and investments. Mr. Perl earned a Master’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the London School of Economics and a teaching degree (Bachelor of Science) from the University of Toronto. Currently, Mr. Perl is head of the infrastructure investment team of Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo). His focus is to originate, analyze, execute and manage investments in infrastructure assets mainly in the Americas. The investments led by him at AIMCo include Howard Energy Partners (midstream), SPower (renewables), a joint-venture with WPX, and IGUÁ. Prior to joining AIMCo, he was vice-president of the investment team of Bastion Infrastructure Group, where he was highly involved in the purchase of railway infrastructure assets in Spain. Before joining Bastion, David was senior vice-president of Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd. in Toronto, where he led and worked on several large transactions valued at more than C$5 billion. Mr. Perl has led teams to obtain capital and financial assistance in the following projects: 407 ETR East Extension, CHUM Research Centre, Windsor-Essex Parkway, Southeast Stoney Trail Project, Toronto South Detention Centre, Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport Pedestrian Tunnel and Bridgepoint Hospital.

Gesner Oliveira holds a Ph.D. in in Economics from the University of California/Berkeley, master in Economics from the Economics Institute of UNICAMP, and bachelor in Economics from the University of São Paulo (USP). He is partner of GO Associados and Professor of the Department of Economics of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation - SP.
He was CEO of the São Paulo State Water & Sanitation Company (SABESP) (2006-2010), CADE’s CEO (1996-2000) and experience of twenty years in antitrust consulting for international and national institutions.
Gesner received the Prize of the Economist of the Year of 2016, by the Order of Economists of Brazil.
